The association was once known as Camp Idylwild, a boys summer camp, and the original tunnel that connected the camp to the lake still exists right outside our door. It also gives you easy walking access to Sticks and Stone’s restaurant, a local favorite which is a 5 minute walk. The home itself enjoys a large backyard, a front porch and a fire pit area that offers a beautiful view of the lake. Walk down the hill 100 steps and you will come to the water's edge, where you will find the association beach and shed where we store two kayaks for your use. The bottom floor is a bonus room with a queen bed, stereo, unique decor including neon lights and a magnificent view of the lake and private lower deck with roof overhead. Doors and blinds make this a private space if desired. The woodstove on the main floor, the propane stove in the bonus room and the hot tub are NOT for guests use. The boat lift is negotiable for a fee. Talk to the owner. Also, the house is accessible by wheelchair with minor modifications. Also, talk to owner. Please note that the screened porch is not for use my unattended children as there is a screen but no spindles. Without exception there is an 8 person limit for staying in the house, no large parties, no pets, NO SMOKING in the house or on the property except at one of the 2 outdoor fireplaces. All butts are to be properly disposed of; not left on the property, and DEFINITELY, not on the beach. Fires must be properly extinguished when finished and 10 PM is quiet time. Reasonable quiet is also expected when neighbors are in sight during the day. Remember, these are my neighbors. We have many vulnerable pieces of furniture in our home and therefore require a $500 refundable deposit. It is expected that you provide your own linens and towels. If you are flying in, this can be negotiated for an additional fee. Complimentary starter paper products and some toiletries are provided. Some condiments that are not outdated and spices may be available, otherwise the refrigerator and cabinets will be empty. There is a cute General store in walking distance which can supply basic needs and has a deli and Ice Cream bar. They also serve a delicious breakfast or lunch. Full grocery stores are 10 miles away. There are many wonderful restaurants within a 10-15 mile range. Also in walking distance are tennis/pickleball courts, softball field, basketball court. There are several golf courses in the area. In summary, this is a comfortable home in an outstanding location (on the east shore so you can experience long evenings and beautiful sunsets) on a beautiful lake in one of the most beautiful, mountainous parks in the country. The house is walking distance to the Adirondack General Store, and enjoys its own private driveway though the 8 acres of private woods. The house is surrounded by beautiful foliage and is gorgeous all year long as the seasons change. The house has a fully equipped kitchen with a new stove and refrigerator, as well as top of the line cooking tools. The kitchen overlooks the dining and living area, and it is a wonderful space for entertaining and enjoying time with friends and family. The dining room table seats eight comfortably, and there are three bar stools at the kitchen area bar. There is also a outdoor dining table available in the summer seating eight. Additional fold-out chairs are located in the basement storage area. A game table is situated in the living area, with views overlooking the lake, and there is a working fireplace in the living area for all to enjoy. There are two bedrooms on the main floor. One of the bedrooms boasts a king size bed, and the second main floor bedroom has two sets of bunk-beds, with one of the bunk beds enjoying a full-size bed on the bottom. The master bedroom is on the 2nd floor and has it's own full-size master bathroom. There is a small loft outside of the master bedroom which overlooks the main living area and enjoys a desk and set of shelves holding various games and activities. A deck wrapping around the front of the house overlooking the lake, and is perfect for sitting and relaxing in the late afternoon sunshine. At Lakeside, there is a fire pit to enjoy evening campfires. There is a Private Dock, a Swimming Dock, and 3 Kayaks with Paddles provided for guest use seasonally. There is also a full walk-out basement with two couches, and games for all to enjoy. The glass doors and windows in the basement allow you to fully enjoy the lake views and to also have access to the outside through the glass sliding doors. The fully carpeted basement also has a Ping-pong table and Foosball table, perfect for hanging out and enjoying with your friends and the kids. The lower level also has a full bathroom with a shower. The space is very accommodating and comfortable for all to enjoy themselves and the beautiful lake!

This 4 bedroom 1.5 bathroom house is perfectly located only a short drive from the many local attractions—Lake George, Six Flags, Saratoga Race Track, and Gore Mountain. A little more driving, and you can visit Lake Placid for the day or the state capital. The lake is less than a mile away, so you can enjoy the water and all the activities it has to offer during your stay. The house is recently remodeled and boasts a beautiful sitting room with a wood-burning stone fireplace. Let the kids enjoy board games or TV in one living room while you relax in the other. There is plenty of space for the whole family to enjoy themselves. The master bedroom has a queen size bed and sitting area with gorgeous mountain views. If you're a hiker, come in the fall. Sight see all the beautiful ADK colors and wildlife on thousands of miles of hiking and kayaking trails. We have our own secluded pond right on our road that is spectacular for kayaking and fishing. Our rental come with a two seater kayak and fishing boat with trolling motor. Our last renter caught over 50 fish in one day on our pond!! It really is a gem!!! and fishing as well. House has fishing poles, bikes and toys to use at your disposal. We are only a short 5 min. ride to the free public beach and boat ramp. Golf course located just outside of town. Schroon Lake is a beautiful scenic lake located in the Adirondack Mountains, and no more than a 30 minute car ride to the town of Lake George with its many restaurants and attractions. At approximately 9 miles long and one mile wide at the widest point, the lake is host to many aquatic past times that include water skiing, tubing, fishing, and ice fishing. Fish that reside here are lake trout, landlocked salmon, pike and small mouth bass. In the winter, enjoy ice fishing, cross country skiing, snowboarding, snowmobile riding, and snowshoeing.
